With the Teachers Pay Teachers sale right around the corner, I’m sure many of us are finalizing a few amazing resources to share with others. I am so excited to share this new resource with you! “Simply Stated” is a complete, comprehensive unit to explore the United States with your students. Information and activities in this unit are ideal for grades 3 through 8.
Help your students understand the difference between a city, state and county. The “Simply Stated” flip book provides an interactive activity for students to visualize the connection between a city, state and country while learning about where they live.
“Simply Stated: Map Quest” activity sheets allow you to assess students’ knowledge of state recognition, state capitals and the regions. Students can practice memorizing state shapes and capitals using the flash cards.
Students are able to explore any state using the “State the Facts” sheets shown below. Two options are included in this unit. Students can complete independent research studies of the selected state using the internet or they can access the information using the states cards.
Finally, 4 word search pages and 4 state/capital match-up pages are included. States are divided according to their region (Southeast, Northeast, Midwest, Southwest/West).
